The iX3 was the second EV that BMW introduced, though their catalogue has since expanded to include other models. Whilst the i3 was designed to stand out and look very different to BMW’s petrol and diesel vehicles, the iX3 follows their more traditional designs. There are only a few external features that mark it as an EV, such as the solid plastic grille and blue highlights.
The iX3 has plenty of room for all of your passengers and luggage with as much space as the regular X3 due to the clever location of the battery under the floor rather than taking up boot space as many EVs do. It's got a boot capacity of 510 litres with all the seats in use and 1560 litres when you put the rear seats down. This is more space than on offer in the Mercedes EQC. The iX3 will achieve around 281-285 miles between charges. However, there are a number of factors that can affect the range including the vehicle weight, use of interior features, the terrain and even the weather.
You can charge the iX3 from 20% to 80% in as little as 20 minutes on a 150kW charger, or in just an hour on a 50kW charger. Most home chargers will offer slower speeds at about 7kW and to go from empty to full it will take 12 hours.
