Porsche have updated the Panamera with several new exciting variants including a new hybrid.

With the new design they successfully combine the impressive performance and superior comfort the brand is known for.

When you look at the new Panamas you won’t see massive changes, but if you look closely they are noticeable. For example, all models now have a SportDesign front fascia as standard rather than an optional upgrade. The additional SportDesign pack has also been updated.

At the rear, there’s a new continuous light strip that connects the two tailgate lights and the lower fascia now has diffuser fins.

There are also a new 20-inch and two new 21-inch wheel designs available.

The GTS has an updated front and rear in Satin Black and the Turbo S variants are fitted with a model-specific front fascia that features a larger air intake and new front light signature.

The big changes though are under the hood, with several new powertrains available to choose from.

Porsche have said there are changes to the crankshaft, connecting rods, timing chain drive and torsional vibration dampeners as well as new fuel injectors and a reduced compression ration help give a better performance than ever before.

In Turbo S models there’s now a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that gives 620 horsepower.

There’s also a new plug-in hybrid with the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid, pictured above, which pairs an electric motor with a 2.9 litre twin turbo V6 engine. The 4S E-Hybrid Sedan can reach 60 mph using launch control in just 3.5 seconds and offers a top track speed of 185 mph, highlighting the work that Porsche have done to ensure the new Panamera models deliver on the promised performance.

All hybrids now have a 27% greater hybrid battery capacity than before and have recalibrated drive modes to maximise their performance and efficiency.

The new models are available to order now.
