Can’t find what
your looking for

Amazon’s advance artificial intelligence has been ruling the technology market since its release, so the announcment of it being integrated into car systems doesn’t come as too much of a surprise. What has blown us away however, is Amazon’s confirmed partnership with the affordable car brand SEAT. Here at Car Lease Special Offers we not only have an outstanding relationship with SEAT UK, but many of the staff have the very popular Leon on lease as their personal vehicles, so the thought of having Alexa introduced into the brands cars has our office very excited!

For those of you who don’t know, Alexa is Amazon’s highly advanced digital voice service, and with Amazon being one of, if not the largest online retailer, the product is the result of years of development and countless amounts of R&D. She is, quite simply, the ultimate digital companion for your home and soon for your car.

Right now Alexa is available in all of Amazon’s new devices, most popular in the Echo and Echo Dot. The seemless connectivitiy to entertainment systems allows you to ask Alexa to find any song you might randomly want to listen to and any show or film you might want to watch although really, she much more than just an entertainment system. She can perform a wide variety of functions to improve productivity in your everyday home life, for example you can ask her about the weather, to look up something on Wikipedia, to control your alarms and timers, to manage your to-do lists and if you upgrade your lights and appliances to smart devices, she can even help you keep control of them while you’re out and about.

With all that in mind, imagine the impact she could have on improving the quality of driving when it comes to controlling your entertainment systems, satnavs, phone calls and much more. At this point, most ‘dynamic technology’ cars come with some type of voice command function. The current SEAT SE Dynamic Technology comes with this feature as standard and for a cost upgrade, fullink technology can be added, enabling drivers to use the iPhone and Android equivelents. It’s no shock though that these services do not always work as planned and I cannot tell you how many times I’ve ended up shouting at my car to call someone because it doesn’t understand what I’m saying! While we can’t say that Alexa hasn’t had these issues, by now she has been honed to perfection to the point that not only can she pick up on just about every tone of voice, but she can understand simple, human phrases, so there is no need to memorise any instructions like other services require you to do. This is where Alexa could be revolutionary for cheaper cars like the SEAT’s, a partnership with a trusted brand like Amazon will not only boost their reputation but allow them to have some of the most advance voice technology and still be one of the best, affordable brands on the market.

Using Alexa you’ll be able to keep more of your focus on the road without losing the functionally on your cars technical capabilities, in fact you’ll likely be utilising your cars tech more than you ever have before. Not only will you be able to manage your music and sat nav capabilities with ease, you will be able to manage your schedule, locate points of interest and get real time news up date, all in the knowledge that your information is being safely stored in Amazon’s cloud that is protected by strict safety protocols to sure your data remains private.

If you’re looking to take a step into the future and change the way you manage your time at home, Amazon’s Alexa products are definitely worth looking into, once you have one you’ll wonder how you were ever managing without it! And if you want that same level of convenience and safety to accompany you on every journey, you’ll want to take a look at SEAT’s already popular Ateca and Leon range, and keep an eye out for the highly reviewed, brand new Arona. The tech will be an available option in cars from the end of this year.
